Giizhik (Cedar) Bundle

$6.00

According to Anishinaabe oral tradition, Giizhik (Gee-zheek), or Cedar, is one of the four sacred medicines gifted by the Creator, alongside Sweetgrass, Tobacco, and Sage. Cedar is deeply revered for its role in purification, protection, and spiritual connection. The name Giizhik, meaning “Cedar” in the Anishinaabe language, reflects its profound cultural and spiritual significance to the Anishinaabe people and other Indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

Known for its cleansing and grounding properties, Cedar enhances ceremonies, fosters healing, and promotes balance and protection. Its warm, earthy aroma creates a space of connection to the natural world, honoring the sacred traditions and knowledge of Indigenous peoples.

This Cedar is hand-harvested by an Indigenous-owned business on private land in the eastern mountains of California, ensuring sustainability and respect for the land. Each bundle, approximately 4 inches in length, is tied with natural white cotton to preserve its sacred essence.
